What are the tuition fees?

The tuition fees for an MBA program are:
Total – $15,000
Per 15-credit module – $1,500

Can I study part-time or full-time?

Students can take up to two courses per 8 week term and complete in as little as one year.

Are these degree programs accredited?

Yes. The MBA is AACSB accredited.

When can I start studying?

Our degree programs have five start dates each year, so you will be able to get your studies started soon after your application is accepted. Visit your preferred programs homepage to find the next available start date.

How long does it take to complete the MBA?

You can complete your MBA in as little as 12 months, though most take 18 months to complete.

How many credits do your degree programs have?

The accelerated MBA is a total of 30 credits.

Will this degree allow me to go onto PhD study?

Yes, this degree will prepare you to apply for a PhD program if you desire.

Will my degree program include a dissertation?

No, there is no thesis or dissertation required for this program.

Will my degree certificate or transcript state I studied online?

No. Your degree will reflect Masters of Business Administration.

Entry requirements

What are the entry requirements?

You will need to have an undergraduate degree with a GPA of 3.0 or above for full admission. Alternatively, you can gain provisional admission if you have an undergraduate degree with GPA between 2.5–2.99. You will then gain full admission upon completion of your first course with grade B or greater.

Can I use professional experience to gain entry?

We do not consider professional experience as part of the admission criteria at this time.

I've completed some postgraduate study elsewhere. Will I be able to transfer some of my credits from this study to one of your degree programs?

Yes, you may be able to transfer up to 6 credit hours into the OCU MBA program. Your coursework must have been completed within the last 7 years to be eligible for review. Please work with your admissions counselor for an assessment.

Can I receive a student visa while studying?

Our degree programs are entirely online – you will not need a visa to study in this program.

How do I apply?

To apply, click ‘Apply Now’ at the bottom of our homepage at online.okcu.edu and follow the steps to complete our online application form.

When is the application deadline?

Our degree programs have five start dates each year with the application deadline for each approximately 2 weeks beforehand. Visit your preferred program’s page for our next available application deadline.

What supporting documents will I need to provide?

You will need to provide an official copy of your transcripts from all universities attended.

How can I submit my documents?

You can upload your unofficial transcripts with your application. Official transcripts should be sent electronically when possible, or mailed to:

Will I need to provide references?

No, we do not require any references.

How long will it take to get a decision on my application?

You should receive a decision within 3 business days via email.

Can I change the program I have applied for?

Fees and payment

What are the tuition fees?

The tuition fees for an MBA program are:
Total – $15,000
Per 15-credit module – $1,500

When are my tuition fees due?

Payment is due first day of class.

How do I pay my fees?

You can pay online, in person, or by wire/mail.

Can I pay in installments?

Yes, there is a $50 installment plan fee you can use to break up payments over four months of each traditional semester (your bill will contain payment dates).

What payment methods are accepted?

We accept financial aid, wires, Visa, MC. AMEX, Discover, check, cashiers check, money order

Is there a difference in fees for international vs home status students?

No. Students of our online degree programs pay the same fees regardless of location.

What is your refund policy?

A 100% tuition adjustment is made at varying time periods beginning with the published first day of class. After these periods, there will be no further adjustments: Fall and spring semesters: Two weeks ending on the Friday of the second week of school at 11:59pm CST. Please refer to the academic calendar for specific 100% refund dates. Refunds are typically processed on Wednesdays. They will not be processed until after/drop add of courses.

What does the one time administration fee cover?

The one time $250 administrative fee covers the registrar’s office fees, including transcript and eventual graduation costs.

Scholarships and funding

Is financial aid available?

Yes, you will need to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to apply for financial aid. Your award eligibility and amount will be determined once you have been admitted into a program.

Can my employer fund my studies?

Please check with your employer to determine the educational benefit options available to you.

Are there scholarships available? If so, how do I apply for them?

Unfortunately, we do not offer scholarships for our online degree programs. You can search online however, to see if other organizations offer postgraduate scholarships.

Am I eligible for an Alumni discount?

At this time we do not offer an alumni discount.

Studying online

What learning platform will we be using?

Desire to Learn (D2L), our online learning management platform.

How will I be interacting with my fellow students?

Students will be able to interact with fellow students throughout the program within the learning management system, D2L. Activities may include group work, discussion posts and virtual office hours.

How many hours will I be expected to spend on study per week?

The university recommends that students spend 18–22 hours per week on the course materials. This time could vary based on the student’s work pace.

Are there any breaks? If so, when are they?

There are breaks in May and December. Please refer to the academic calendar for specific dates.

What type of study does each course involve?

Students will complete a combination of readings, video lectures, assignments and reflection as part of their course of study.

How is the program assessed?

Students will be graded on a 4 point scale through a variety of assessments including exams and applied assignments.

How does the online program vary from the on-campus program?

Students have more flexibility to complete the required coursework around their schedule in the online format. The cirriculum is developed with the same rigour and faculty engagement for both the online and campus programs.

How often is the course content reviewed/updated?

Our online lectures and course content is updated on an ongoing basis as required to ensure the material is current.

Will I need to buy textbooks to complete my studies?

Yes, most courses will require a textbook which will need to be purchased.

Will I need to attend campus for any reason, or travel to an examination center during my program?

No, you will not be required to attend campus or exam centers during this program.

Is attendance monitored?

You are in an online graduate program and are expected to complete the coursework by the posted deadlines. There are no specific class meetings, so attendance is not monitored. However, your participation and on time submissions will be part of the assessment.

Is technology support available to students?

If students have any issues with the learning management platform, they can get support 24 hours a day, 365 days a year by contacting us via email onlinehelp@okcu.edu or calling 405-208-5550.

Academic support

What support will I receive from my tutor?

We do not offer tutoring for master students. Students should contact their faculty.

What support do disabled students receive?
